Bike-Tour-Island Fehmarn

Fehmarn is the second largest of the German islands in the Baltic Sea. The individual sites, e.g. Burg and F. and the attractive island capitals, or pretty places such as Lemkenhafen and Petersdorf, well repay an island bicycle tour.

Fehmarn is practically completely flat. Incidentally, there is such a thing on Fehmarn as a “sunshine guarantee“. Many years of observation confirm an above-average number of hours of sunshine on Fehmarn!

The transit highway between Hamburg and Copenhagen (nicknamed the ‘bird corridor’), cuts Fehmarn in two halves. All remaining roads are eminently suitable for cycling.

A tip for bird watchers: search out the Wallnau Waterfowl Sanctuary in the southwest of the island.
